'Adrian Mole'...the book....I read it...
Adrian Mole was a peculiar book and I don't understand why our teachers would recommend this book. Although, I did have fun reading it. I would spend self study time reading it. It was a funny book. At first Adrian seems like a weird student. But later I felt that he was much like me and the he was a very nice kid. All the weird things he did, had always come up in my mind but never have I actually did it like Adrian. I felt like I was reading a book about myself. I tried to deny that he was anything like me. But I had to admit that he had a lot in common with me. I had the chance to reflect on myself. I would like to read more books of Adrian in the future if I have the time
'Tuesdays with Morrie'...after reading
This summer, I got the chance to read a book titled 'Tuesdays with Morrie'. This book was about a man named Mitch Albom and his lessons with his former college professor. Mitch had a dream of being a pianist when he was in college. However after graduating college he became a sports writer. Many years later he was living a busy life when he saw a TV show with his professor, Morrie. Morrie had a lou gehrig's diseases and was hospitalized. Morrie, made time in his busy life and went to visit his professor on every Tuesdays, which turned into a class of life. He had homework, he took notes and every class was different. It was about, life, death love and more. Each class, Mitch learned something. He discovered his lost dream, and how he was living such a busy life, that he wasn't enjoying it.
This book made me think about my past teachers. I really think I am lucky, for I had many great teachers. One of the teachers that had a great influence on me was Mr. Smith-horn in 5th grade. He was the only male teacher in the 5th grade. He had a long beard, and was very tall. He was very scrary at first. However, he was a very funny teacher that made me feel comfortable in the America school. I felt like a normal American student when he was my teacher. He had great humor which influenced me the most. Most of the jokes I use all came from him. He is a teacher I will never forget. I hope I will be able to meet him later.
Most people forget there dreams, as they grow up. They choose whatever gives them more money and power. I wish that people keep in mind there dream, and what they really want. What I really want is to be a zoo keeper. It is not a high position neither does is pay much. But I really want to be with animals. I want people and the nature to live in harmony. I wish no more animals lose homes and forests are destroyed.

Do you think it's a good idea that a person can be reached at anytime?
With the power of the cell phone, a person can be reached anywhere anytime. Everyone from elementary school students to the elderies in their 80's owns a phone. People are able to contact anyone even in another country. The cellular phone has become so popularized, everyone that goes out takes their phone with them. Celluar phone has made people's life so much convenient..
Having the phone literally makes able to talk to anyone around the world from anywhere. It's like the world is right next to you. I experienced how much the cell phone makes our life convenient. I hadn't bought my phone until I was in the 9th grade. Before, I had to go home after school and ask my mother for her permission everytime I wanted to go play with my friends. But after I bought my phone, I could anywhere I want and be in touch with my parents. I didn't have to go all the way back home. Also, more friends started to contact me and played with my friends more often. Having a phone allowed me to talk to my friends more. It made my life a lot more comfortable.
Now that the phone is so popular, and everyone has it, it has caused many controversy. Cell phone has side effects regarding the person's health, emotional anxiety, and much more. But I think phone has helped the world come much closer and made human's life convenient.

Let's prevent global warming
Humans have cause many enviromental problems. One of the biggest problem we need to solve is the global warming. The temperature of the earth rising and melting the glaciers of each pole and changing the habitats of the ecosystem is global warning and its problems. Global warming has now become a serious issue and everyone needs to make an effort to stop the temperature from risng. The methods to prevent global warming is indeed very simple, and with our little effort we can prevent a disaster that can come.
One way to prevent global warming is the very famous, ride your car as little as possible. Cars emit CO2 which is one of the primary cause of the global warming is CO2. These CO2's come from theb cars we ride in. So if everyone use their cars less the process of the global warming will become much slower. Instead of using personal cars, we could just walk to close places, ride bicycles or use public transportation. Another way is to use less freone gas. Freon gas is another cause for the global warming. Air conditioner, spray, and refridgerator all emit freone gas. We should all try to use less air conditioners because the more we use it the higher the temperature goes up.
The help of the nations are also critical to the prevention of global warming. The country should promote areas with more trees and plants. If more trees are planted it could prevent global warming. They should also establish laws that states that all people are obliged to use little CO2's or freone gases.

Nowadays, building that are nature friendly are becoming popular. These buildings are called 'Green buildings'. These buildings have big windows so more sunlight can come in and reduce the use of electricity. Also a building with solar cells that converts sunlight into electricity, and buildings with rooftop filled with plants. If the roof is covered in plants, the temperature can be kept cool. There are buildings the collects rain and use it as a toilet water or to water the plants. Some buildings are even made out of trash like newspapers or old tires. Green buildings are very helpful to the enviroment.
Comment: As a student who was care a lot for the nature, i am glad to see that we are trying to save the nature. I think these kinds of buildings should be built more around the world. These buildings could be beneficial to everybody.

Conservation vs Social Welfare, Which one has the priority to be supported by the Korean Government?Governmental limited budeget should be spent on Unesco World Heritage conservation rather than provide the food, shelter, and jobs for the homeless.
I think conservation is more urgent then social welfare. Humans have been developing at an excessive speed. The world has already lost too much valuble world heritage because of the development. If we don't take action now all the heritages could be lost. Social welfare is an important problem, but not as urgent as the heritages. Social welfare is a long term problem that takes lots of time and effort. But we could conserve lots of the heritages with a little effort. That is why the money should be used to conserve the world heritage.
